The Smart Cities Africa Roadshow series features keynotes and panels on the role of digital in creating smart communities, creating effective partnerships, as well as roundtable sessions focusing on smart infrastructure, smart precincts, smart services, smart planning, smart financing and smart data among many others. The Roadshow also promotes the sharing of good practices among municipalities and concrete projects that are being developed by African municipalities.
The Smart Cities Africa is a pan-African series of events that addresses African city representatives, everyone who works with cities and is open to all municipalities, local or regional governments. The Roadshow empowers City leaders to adopt a smart cities approach to improve the lives of their residents through innovation, data and connected technology.

Smartcities Africa roadshow

Our cities are expanding and evolving at a rapid pace, coupled with the always tight budgetary issues, and red tape required to effect change, we are often stuck in limbo.
Some cities use technologies to foster local innovation and increase efficiency of public services, while decreasing costs and breaking down silos. But they are often struggling to extract the promised value out of ICT solutions.

Rewiring Cities by Design, and transforming the way they work internally and together with outside partners and citizens, is essential so that we can move forward. The Smart Cities Roadshow, addresses the challenges faced by our cities and regions, and looks to build effective governance frameworks to deal with the changes that we will experience with new operating models and technologies.

Apart from addressing city representatives and everyone who works with cities, the Smart Cities Roadshow Series, will also bring together National, Provincial and local government, innovators, thinkers, financiers, educational and research institutions, and technology providers to network and discuss how we can build better cities. Join us and your peers across the African continent.
